The view of the beach and ocean is beautiful. The place is in a great location, quiet, away from city life, but still close enough to get to services and stores. The drive to and from Wilmington is very reasonable. The place had sufficient kitchen cooking and eating essentials and utensils. The parking set up was good and kept the car out of the sun. The inside was very cozy, especially in the living room, and the balcony was nice.The place is a bit tired. The cushions on the balcony chairs are all ripped up. A lot of kitchen items have been left in the cabinets, even though the instructions are clear that everything should be removed. This left the inside of the cabinets rather dirty. The space at the bottom of the sliding glass doors and windows is very dirty. The beds bow a bit. It was cold a couple of days and there are no blankets other than bedspreads. The towels are old and worn. There is no lamp in the master bedroom. A really good cleaning and some TLC would help make this place top-notch.

Stayed in the condo for a longer weekend. Loved the view from the deck, living room and master bedroom. The place was clean and provided enough table wear for the group of eight. However, I took the star off because when we checked in, there was no toilet paper, paper towels, soap or even trash bags for the trash cans. All these essentials should have been provided as the company indicated in the check-in message. I’ve never rented a place where there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. We contacted the management a little after 6pm but the items were not delivered until late afternoon the next day. We had to go and buy the supplies ourselves the first night. Also, the cushions for the chairs on the deck were ripped and unusable (some little bugs lived inside). This did not affect our stay, as we just took them off, but the first impression was not great. All these things can be addressed right away to ensure a smother experience for other customers. Otherwise, the stay was great!

We had a great week at Kure Beach at The Ocean Dunes. Our condo 503 was perfect for our family of four as it was literally right on the beach . The living room furniture was a little bit dated but very comfy. It was located far enough away from the bars and restaurants to enjoy the sounds of waves, nature and yet close enough to get to by car 10 minutes for when that was what we wanted . It was 15-20mns to get to stores . They have a beautiful Fort Fisher Aquarium that was affordable and worth going to see. 5 mns away. A nice nature area at Fort Fisher to take a leisurely walk through with an adjoining public beach that was also beautiful.( nice clean restrooms and changing rooms.) Bring your cooler with beverages and food as there are none available there. (one cash only snack vending machine.) In the same vicinity they have The Fort Fisher civil war historical museum too which was free. (Donations appreciated) which was nice and interesting and educational. In the same vicinity they have a ferry to Southport NC. It takes a very enjoyable 1/2 hour to get there for 7$ a car. With an indoor seating area and a deck to get out of your car to feel the breeze and enjoy the views. Southport is a noce place to have a nice or casual lunch or dinner. Call ahead to see if you need a reservation. Also a few gift and ice cream shops. The only disappointment was not having directions and area maps of places and things to do in the area upon arrival in our condo along with the parking and pool passes and directions to the indoor pool/workout/sauna/hot tub . Hopefully Carolina Coast Retreats will ensure they are all there on arrival for their next guests. But all in all a perfect week with beautiful weather! Id highly recommend this condo for your next beach trip!

503 at Kure Beach was located right on the beach in a nice quiet area. The 3rd floor condo was nicely decorated, the kitchen was well equipped ! It also had plenty of board games and books . The living room had a dated couch and kitchen table, but was still functional and comfortable for a week at the beach . The beds were all very comfy ,water pressure in shower was good and the long deck was a huge plus ! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating.
We enjoyed the indoor pool hot tub and sauna on the cool days and in the evening and the gorgeous beach when it was warm outside.
I highly recommend the Fort Fisher area at the end of the Rd. Included in that area is a History Museum , The Fort Fisher Aquarium ,Fort Fisher Nature Path and fort Fisher Beach(pack food and drinks) . Fort Fisher ferry to Southport NC. (Great place to have lunch or dinner) Nice 1/2 hour trip on board. Take car for 7.00. Has a deck and indoor area on board to get out and enjoy the scenery. 5minutes away!

My family and I do an annual beach vacation and have stayed at the same property for several years leading up to us branching out with the property. I was not disappointed. This place was beautiful, and so close to so many things to do! Would definitely stay again!
