Wonderful ocean front location on low traffic beachfront street - Large spaces accommodated our family of 10 with plenty of elbow room - Kitchen was well equipped and appliances were updated - Both decks had plentiful and comfortable outdoor furniture

We enjoyed our weeklong stay along with a few friends. The home was actually perfect for our needs in many ways. The positives: The view is amazing, directly on the beach with beautiful sunrises. There is ample seating on the patios to really just sit and enjoy the peace of the ocean. Since we only had 5 guests, the orientation of the bedrooms worked well and allowed all couples/ parties to have their own bathroom as well as privacy. If you have someone staying in all of the bedrooms, some parties will have to share bathrooms downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the cooking items we needed and was roomy enough for multiple ppl to be in there at once without feeling crowded. There are TVs in all of the bedrooms and in the main living area, with cable provided. The high speed internet allowed all of us access adequately. Parking is great for up to 4 average size vehicles under the home. Stairs outside leading up to the home are a bit narrow and steep, but completely doable. Stairs inside the home are wider and more gradual. The location is great, perfectly located close to several shops, restaurants, bars, the pier, etc. The home was very clean upon our arrival. The dining table was perfect for our needs, although we ate outside often to enjoy the view. It was great to have access to a washer and dryer during our stay, but you must remember to bring detergent, etc. All closets had plenty of hangers and dressers had great storage. Appliances were in good condition and clean. The private beach access was wonderful. The decor was cute and fun. The areas for improvement: When we arrived, there was NO toilet paper in any of the bathrooms, nor was there any hand soap/ dish soap for any handwashing. Luckily we brought lots of these items ourselves in preparation for this, but it would have been nice if anything at all had been provided upon our initial arrival (even one roll per bathroom would have been great). We left rolls behind on our departure as a courtesy, hopefully they were not collected by the management. There also was no dishwasher detergent, which is surprising as one of the departure requirements is to run the dishwasher. We had to go purchase this and we left some behind for other guests as a courtesy. Hopefully this was not collected by the management. There was only one large garbage bag provided and for guests staying all week long, more than one load of trash will be produced. We had to go out and purchase our own bags. There was one roll of paper towels, but NO hand towels were provided in the kitchen. The bed in the master where we slept was HORRIBLY uncomfortable and loud. There was only a mattress with no box spring and it was just directly on the wood bedframe. This was a huge disappointment and we would not stay here again just for this reason alone. If you are not picky about these things, honestly the home is lovely otherwise.

We loved this house! The kitchen was very well stocked with all of the utensils, pots, pans, plates, etc! We also loved all of the seating on the decks! And the beach access was so easy!

We all loved the location and the house. The views from the top deck were awesome, full moon coming up was great. We loved that the ocean was so close that it was easy to go out to ocean without a lot of sand walking. We found lots of shark's teeth in the tide. We all enjoyed our annual, fall beach week on Topsail Island.

My family and I stayed here for a week long beach vacation, and I was so impressed with how nice the house was. It was right on the beach, it was very clean, it was close to all the restaurants and stores on the island. The beds were also very comfortable, and the 3 1/2 bathrooms were great to have. Plenty of space for everyone! We will definitely be considering this house again for our next stay. The owners called us to make sure we had everything we needed and were extremely nice. We did not require assistance with anything, but I knew if we did they were just a phone call away. I absolutely recommend this place for your beach vacation!

My family had a fabulous stay! Our first time staying in Surf City and we're already looking forward to our next trip. The house fit all our needs, plenty of room, great access to beach and porches to just sit, relax and listen to the beautiful sounds! ❤

Pelicans Porch was great place to stay, very clean and spacious with all the amenities that you need for a fun filled week at the beach. In a great location close to everything. Even got to meet the owners when checking in, shows how much love they put into the place and making sure families can make those lasting beach memories.

We loved this home. We stayed here for a vacation with our extended family and had a great time. Had 7 adults and 3 kids and we all fit comfortably. The house is in a great location. Right on the beach and not overcrowded at all. And also easy drive to groceries and restaurants. House was very nice and clean. The double decks were great. We had an amazing time and would recommend to others.

Perfect location. House layout allows 4 of the bedrooms with ocean front porch access. Well supplied kitchen. Looking forward to our next stay.

An ideal vacation home. Spectacular ocean views and easy access to the beach. Clean, well maintained and a well-stocked kitchen. Most rooms had a beach view. We had everyday sunshine to enjoy all the amenities. Would rent again.

This was the absolutely best way to spend Mother’s Day with my mom, husband, children and her very best friend (second mom) and her granddaughter!! We had so much space and you can’t beat the view and ease down to the beach! We had everything that we needed! Thank you so much!!

We would definitely stay at this property again! It was better then the pictures! The kitchen was fully stocked with every thing we needed. I was also pleasantly surprised when Vacasa called on day 2 just to make sure we had everything we needed and got checked in ok. Will definitely use Vacasa again as well!
