This comfy soundfront home on North Topsail Beach offers both views of the Atlantic Ocean and the undisturbed sound from decks on both levels. There are four bedrooms, each with their own deck access. Wake and have your morning stretch on the deck before heading to the kitchen to retrieve your morning coffee. Take a short walk across the road to the public beach access, park your beach chair in the white sand and spend the day lounging in the sun or catching up on your reading. Maybe you've always wanted to surf, and a short drive away will take you to a rental shop that will have the needed supplies like surfboards, bodyboards, and beach toys. Hop in your vehicle or on your bike to visit beach rental shops, local mom-and-pop shops, and big-named stores and restaurants you are familiar with. There are also local eateries, some boasting local seafood and produce from nearby farms. You may want to drop a line into the water and reel in your own dinner of sea mullet or trout from the local fishing pier. Back at the house in the open-concept living area, you will find a well-equipped kitchen with ample counter space to prepare your catch of the day. Dine on the deck overlooking the most gorgeous, untouched sound of Topsail Beach. Maybe a lazy night at home is more your style and the large living area is perfect for a family trivia night with local pizza delivery, or you may want to watch nightfall on the back deck with views of the sound while you drink sweet tea and plan your next day at the beach. We enjoyed our stay at Carolina Coast as far as cleanliness, location and the politeness of their maintenance man. There are a couple of things to be aware of if staying a long period of time. Such as there is a lot of steps to get from entry to kitchen/living space so if older with any knee or heart conditions you need to think about that. It is an easy walk across the street to the beach. There is ample room. Very nice area to stay and visit. Nice folks.

We really enjoyed our stay at Surf and Sound and found it to be spacious, comfortable, and perfectly located—just a short walk from the beach with beautiful views, especially over the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway where we enjoyed watching the storms and sunsets. It was a great fit for our group, and the house was very clean when we arrived. That said, there were some maintenance concerns that should be addressed. When we arrived, we discovered wet drywall falling from the ceiling onto the floor and couch in the main living area due to a leak from the attic. A trash can had been placed under the leak (indicating the issue was known), but we were not informed about it in advance. We contacted Vacasa the day we arrived and were told the issue had been previously reported and we would hear from a manager. Unfortunately, no one followed up. We vacuumed the debris ourselves and the couch took a day or so to dry out. There was no leaking while we were there. There were a few other maintenance issues as well: – A hole in the ceiling over the front door from what appears to be previous water damage – Missing overhead lights and exposed electrical wires on the upper deck – A rusted doorknob and lock on the front door – Towel bars that were loosely installed and kept falling off the wall – A broken chair on the back deck – Poor water pressure on the top floor, specifically when showers were being used downstairs. Perhaps that's just what happens. – Incorrect Wi-Fi login information provided in the welcome email (we figured it out eventually) Overall, the house has a lot of potential and we loved the space, but it definitely needs some cosmetic repairs and more timely and transparent communication from the property management team. With some attention to these issues, it could easily be a five-star rental. We would rent it again!

We loved the proximity to the beach access and the glorious sound/sunset views from the home. The outdoor shower doesn’t really function well, even after being looked at by maintenance staff. The home was clean and comfortable for our family.

We loved the homes location and the views from both the front and back of the house. The home was spotless upon entry. Everyone we interacted with at Vacasa was helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately, this home is in need of some major repairs. There are exposed wires and the top deck railing was only attached by one nail when we got there. These issues need to be resolved immediately for guest safety. Otherwise the place was great!

We just stayed at Surf and Sound and could not have been happier with the house. It was very clean and the location was perfect (across the street from the beach with easy access). Though it may seem minor, we were especially appreciative of the fact that the beds were made when we got there!

The entire process from booking to check out was easy and efficient. The Vacasa team quickly and effectively answered any questions or queries I had, and the rental location was extremely clean and well prepared for our stay. Definitely a 5 star experience.
