NTB3648 Island Girl

The house was perfect for us. It was had a pool with a yard for our dogs that were coming and right on the beach! It had so many different bedrooms to suit our large family! The kitchen was stocked! The elevator was so great to have this year! My isssue is with Vacasa. When we checked in on Saturday we turned the AC on the second floor and went to the 3rd floor and it would not turn on. Nothing on that wall would (wifi, TV, cable, thermostat) I called immediately and they said they would send it to the local office. Someone showed up and found 2 of the breakers to need flipped and that fixed everything but the AC working. He said he would try to find someone that has worked on this house before. I called again twice that night and didn’t talk to anyone from the local office. Sunday I called in the morning and said they are seeing what they can do and will contact me later. Again I heard nothing from the local office and I called multiple times and they kept telling me there was nothing in the system for an update. Monday comes around and I hear that someone will be coming during the day. So 48 hours later of us being miserable in the heat upstairs and not being able to cook or stay in those bedrooms we finally got AC on Monday. Still have not heard from them!

We just returned from our week at Island Girl. Ocean front with a pool, comfy furniture, a pool table and space for us all to spread out. Yes, Please!

Great home and location is perfect--close to many things to do but the beach is not crowded. Our family has been renting beach houses on the NC coast for over 40 years; this is the 2nd year we have rented Island Girl and it's one of our all-time favorites. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed; we loved having a charcoal grill this year to cook our hamburgers and hotdogs. Plenty of space for the whole family with the game room on the lowest level and extra living space with a comfy couch on the middle level. The pool is nice to have when the ocean is too rough for the younger kids. Great ocean views from the decks. The house was very clean when we arrived.

This house was exactly what we were looking for. The proximity to the beach, the pool great for the young kids in our group and the yard perfect for our dog. The elevator made move in and out do much easier. Having the 2 living room spaces worked great and the kids loved the finished basement with the foosball and pool table. It really was a great house for our stay.

Island Girl was a great vacation home for our group. The house had almost everything you could think of. The pool was fantastic. The double backyard and gates were great for kids and pets to be safe and secure. Only complaint is the surprise visits from pool and yard care that just showed up without notice while we were in the pool.

We loved everything about Island Girl. Our family has stayed at various homes in topsail, but this one was the best vWe felt like we were in an upscale hotel all the amenities of Linens, towels, guest soaps, and shampoos. The kitchen was well stocked with anything that you needed. The view from the decks was perfect . A special part of this home was the fenced in yard that we could let our fur babies out and not worry about them running away or getting hurt. We can’t wait to go there again. Island Girl is our new vacation home.

This is the perfect place to gather and enjoy a week for a family with adult children. Everyone has a chance to be together but also can have their quiet time in their own space as needed. With everything at your fingertips, this is the perfect place to cook and eat in or order out. Nothing is inconvenient. I wish my kitchen at home was as enjoyable to cook in as the one here. We have enjoyed bringing our dogs with us the last two years. They love it almost as much as we do. I can't wait to return.

Being a jersey shore girl it was as close to LBI as it gets. Beautiful area, friendly locals, great shops and restaurants nearby and patrolled well. House was comfy, well stocked kitchen, clean, extra blankets, linens and towels provided a nice surprise and much appreciated. Renting this home away from home again. Elevator a HUGE bonus for our aging backs and dog with hip issues. Recommend this home

We had a fantastic week. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with spices and lots of cookware. The fenced in yard was great for the dogs to run and the balconies had comfortable chairs to sit in. The elevator really came in handy for moving in and moving out . The pool was good as well. Access to the beach was great . We loved the house!!

We just spend a week at island girl and had a great time! The house is great and you can’t beat the view. The pool was awesome. The internet was spotty at times but we didn’t mind. We had an issue with a bed frame but Vacasa quickly resolved it. We also had an issue with the dishwasher that was not able to be resolved while we were there. The kitchen had EVERYTHING you would need - spices, utilities, coffee maker, etc! Highly recommend this house for family beach trips!

The house was perfect for our group. Lots of space, the pool was great, and yard for the dogs. Wish the BBQ was bigger as it wasn’t possible to grill for our group with the provided one. Overall a great stay. Hope to be back.

Island Girl's location is perfect! We loved being oceanfront and the pool got a lot of use due to rough seas from Tropical Storm Debby during our stay. Beautiful ocean view from the decks and the beach is not crowded (no large public accesses close by.) The fenced yard was great for the dog! The house was very clean when we arrived. Plenty of space to spread out for everyone--living areas on each floor of the house and the game room is a nice amenity, especially on a rainy day. The kitchen is stocked with just about anything you need (we prepared almost all of our meals) but there is no outdoor grill. The garage provided an abundant amount of storage for beach and pool items, as well as being able to park a vehicle. Elevator is helpful on check-in/check-out days. Our family has been renting beach houses on the NC coast for decades, and this is one of the best! We've already reserved our week for next summer!

We've been going to Topsail Island for more than 35 years and this was our third year in Island Girl. It is everything we need and want. We will always cherish the many memories of our years there.

House was everything advertised. Perfect view of the beach, short walk. Pool was heated and perfect temperature. Foosball table and pool room are now finished with its own air conditioner. Foosball table could be upgraded to an actual table. Very safe neighborhood! Do not leave anything on beach near the evening as the beach patrol will take it and throw it away (including our shaded tent). Beach had perfect sand and was not crowded as the house is not near a public spot. Kitchen had everything you would need, could upgrade the toaster. Bedrooms had plenty of room, 2 rooms had bunk beds for the kiddos. Overall, Perfect house, great air conditioning through out, and an amazing week to stay with family and friends.

The house was exactly as advertised. Having the opportunity to heat the pool was a great add on and even though the weather was great it was awesome to have it heated for the week. We had a very short walk to the beach each morning and with the public accesses being a few houses over it was like we had a private beach for the majority of the week. Would definitely book this house again in the future.

We booked a last minute trip here over Easter and we were so glad we did. Plenty of room to spread out and the views were amazing. The yard was nice with the dogs. It was so easy to walk back and forth to what we felt like was our private beach :) would definitely come back again.

Communication needs to be better. Beds and super comfortable Elevator was great for bringing up Fenced yards were great for dog Kitchen has everything including a crockpot Pool table was nice What is missing is a good grill they have a cheap charcoal grill Tons of sand toys and beach stuff Very well maintained Lots of stairs

The location of the house is on a great, quiet part of the beach with a grocery store within a 10 minute drive. All of the beds were comfortable, kitchen had plenty of appliances to cook in daily and the set up is great for group gatherings while having your own space. The only "complaints" I can think of is that the remote for the main living room TV did not work well which made it difficult to catch all the NCAA tournament games and the grill provided was a very small charcoal grill. If you have a beach house with a pool, you have to have a grill! Regardless, I would book again!

I loved everything about the Island Girl from the location to the cleanliness, and everything in between. Very spacious and comfortable beds and furniture. Loved the added game room area with pool table and Foosball. My only wish was that the pool had been ready to have used.

We had an awesome week here with our kids and dogs. Having such a wonderful place with space for the dogs that has direct access to the beach was very nice. The kitchen and dining area was exceptional for our group and the game room was an added bonus. We hope to be able to coordinate all our schedules and do this again!

Island Girl is a beautiful home with incredible views and we truly enjoyed our stay. It is tastefully decorated and has comfortable furniture. There is plenty of seating on the 2 decks that overlook a lovely yard with a heated pool. The beds are all comfortable and the house is clean and inviting. Definitely a wonderful place to stay!

The house was great, plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen had almost everything we needed; several pans should be replaced. Couldn't find extra trash bags; so we purchased some.

Couldn't ask for a better view. Pool was great. I would suggest putting a railing on it though. Not having a rail limits the elderly and anyone with physical limitations. Elevator was in working condition. Fence around the yard was great if you bring a pet. Beds are comfortable. Couldn't use the pool table because there is no air conditioner on the bottom floor and room was very hot. Although it does look like they are in the middle of updating that area. Overall we enjoyed our stay and making great memories at Island Girl.

This was our second year staying at Island Girl. The location is absolutely amazing - like having your own, private beach. And the new pool is a fabulous addition - adults and children really enjoyed it, especially on the super hot days. Another surprise was the extra half bath - it makes the house much more amenable to large families such as ours. While the kitchen equipment could use some upgrades, we were able to make do and cooked most of our meals. The open kitchen/family room was our gathering place each day and the large TV was always a hit for playing video games and watching sports and movies. Our one issue was with the cooling system, which was loud and often too strong for our comfort level. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We loved our vacation! The pool was a wonderful surprise! Our kids loved it! The kitchen was great for cooking. The cookware is needing replaced. The pool table was so much fun. My family and I had a wonderful stay!! The only problem was it was too short. The house was clean and we had everything we needed. The added bonus was the pool. When I booked the house the pool wasn’t in yet and we had no idea there was one. What a fabulous surprise. The fact that we could have family and the fur babies with us was great. The dogs loved the beach and the fenced grass back yard to run and play in as well. This house was the best stay we have had at the beach in the past 4 years and we’ve been staying at different houses on the beach twice a year for the past 4 years with lots of property to choose from. Thank you for allowing us to stay at this property and create great memories!!
