NTB1234 Dream Big

Second year staying at Dream Big with our family (2 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog) for spring break. Loved being right on the beach and within 20 minutes to our favorites in Surf City. Hope to stay again next year!

The views from every floor are amazing! The very best of the beach! I love being so close to the ocean! I have stayed at Dream Big several times and always enjoy my stay! Hope to be back soon!

We liked the home layout and furniture. The beach access was simply a matter of opening the slide door and walling down the new steps. The house is very sound proof with respect to interior and exterior noise. There are ample dishes and utensils. We will consider renting it again. There are some maintenance issues but that is to be expected when being on the beach.

The house is beautiful and very comfortable. We had 4 adults, a toddler, and a very spoiled doggie who all truly enjoyed our stay. The views were amazing. The house is close to everything you could need or want to do. There is a pier just 2 minutes away by car but very walkable if you are up for it. The only thing that would have made it better would have been an elevator or maybe a lift system to get all of your stuff up into the house. I've been staying in beach houses on topsail for 40 years and I've wished for elevators and lift systems in most all of them (I've stayed at a couple that had them but they are few and far between). This is not a negative specific to this house, just a reminder that there are always A LOT of stairs in most beach houses. Definitely would stay again and recommend it highly!

Our second stay at Dream Big. First week of November both years. This year brought beautiful, mostly sunny, 80° weather! Looking forward to next year with the hope that the stairs down to the ocean are replaced. Thank you, Dream Big owners for sharing your beautiful, ocean front (only feet from the deck) home!

Dream Big is a beautiful, well furnished and well maintained home. Plenty of room for our party of nine. I recommend this home and would absolutely return.

Our first interaction with Vacasa was…45 minutes before our check-in time, they called to inform us that the stairs leading from the deck to the beach had been wiped out by the last storm and that there was caution tape on the deck. So we would need to use the front door and walk around the house to get to and from the beach (the dunes are unfortunately completely eroded on this property). Not acceptable to not have direct beach access when renting a “beachfront” house. When questioned about the late notification, vacasa stated that the owners had just found out about it. But we later learned from a neighbor that it had happened 3 weeks prior. Poor service to provide such late notice with no alternatives offered. Asked about compensation, but have not yet heard back. Mostly, we liked the property and really enjoyed our visit. The house felt clean and well cared for. The furniture and decorations were lovely - the colors and ocean-themed decor was perfect. Our favorite part were all the decks that overlooked the ocean. Great for watching sunsets while enjoying a cocktail. Loved the bar height chairs on the middle deck, which allowed for an unhindered view of the ocean. Huge TV in living room and WiFi were excellent. Kitchen was very well stocked. This is our feedback for improvement: - No screen door in master bedroom and ripped screens in the windows, so could not open windows; very disappointing because weather was cool and wanted to open windows to hear ocean. - The screen door on the lower deck was missing the handle (making it very hard to open from the outside) and one of the runner wheels was rusted out, so the screen door kept popping out. - As others mentioned, sand in the driveway/garage needs to be cleaned - makes it impossible to avoid getting sand in house, especially without use of back stairs from beach. Hose in garage to wash off feet, but to turn it off, had to walk back through sand… - Low water pressure in master bath sink (shower and kitchen sink were fine - didn’t use other bathrooms to check) - King bed needs king size sheets - it had a queen size flat sheet (which was too small to cover 2 people) and a flat sheet used on the mattress instead of a fitted sheet, which did not fit and couldn’t be tucked in. And the pillows were king sized - with standard size pillow cases. Which meant about 6 inches of the pillow were sticking out uncovered… - Several of the metal fixtures were rusted (curtain rods, metal trash cans) - may be time to replace - House is extremely close to the beach, which is nice for the views/accessibility, but inhibits beach access during high tide, as tide comes all the way up to the house. Dunes eroded - Spent alot of time killing black flies and fruit flies on the main floor. Not sure where the fruit flies were coming from, as we didn’t leave any fruit/food out. The black flies were very annoying out in the beach, as they bite. Guessing they were getting in through the rip on the screen door.

Our family had a wonderful week of relaxation at this beautiful home. It was clean, had all of the accommodations we needed, and we loved having three separate balconies to choose from. The location was great and we loved searching for sharks teeth each day. Thanks for a great place to unwind for the week!

Perfect location. Wonderful views of sound and ocean. Kitchen is well equipped. Only downfall is the driveway is all sand and impossible to keep sand out of house. Bring slippers for inside!

Being on the beach was amazing. We could walk out the back door, go down the stairs, and we were on the beach. We watched the tide come in, played in the waves, and took long walks on the beach. The upstairs suite was lovely, with its own deck. The main floor had a well equipped kitchen and gorgeous view. Both bedrooms downstairs had their own bathroom, one en-suite, one next door. Lovely, lovely vacation

This is an amazing location and Dream Big looks exactly as it does online. The only downside was there was trash, open wires, broken wood and a large broken tv left outside of the house when we first arrived. Vacasa was helpful and attentive when working to contact the local cleaning team to have this removed- it was removed next day. Overall, great spot!

This place is right on the beach and very lovely. You could hear the ocean day and night. We saw dolphins swim by! It’s a great place and we felt right at home. The dogs loved sitting by the patio doors and watching the ocean. We are very happy we chose this property!

This was second time staying in 'Dream big'. I love the closeness to the ocean and the sound of the waves. It was a perfect vacation to relax and recharge. Comfy and cozy property. Three levels with amazing ocean view on every level. I look forward to my next stay at 'Dream big'!!

The condo accommodated us nicely. Bedrooms and bathrooms were just the right size. We love north topsail, new river inlet. The beach was empty, the weather was awesome The tenants before us (and cleaning crew) left 3 bags of trash in the carport that were leaking and fly infested. We woke to roaches the 2nd day. The attached condo was under a full renovation. From 8am to 8pm (9:30pm on Saturday) there was: pressure washing that soaked our walkway leaving a puddle that could not be avoided at the bottom of the stairs, lag bolts be attached that rattled the condo all day, saws/nail guns all day, sawing/hammering the new flooring all day. I LOVE a good nap. That was impossible as a result. The parking area had so much sand piled that it was impossible not to drag it with you when going into the condo, or the car. if you look at the pictures, notice the difference of the condo to the left The good, the bad, and the ugly

I loved my stay! Could not have stayed any closer to the beach than Dream Big! Falling asleep listening to the sound of the ocean waves was wonderfully relaxing. Best sleep I have had in years! Great place to stay to enjoy long walks on beach looking for treasures in the sand. Dream Big was clean and comfy. The kitchen was well equipped for dining in. There are a lot of steps for us older adults. But that is also a benefit if you can still get around good. Good exercise! I am already trying to narrow down a date to stay here again! Loved it here!

We loved the house, it seemed homelike. Well decorated in an updated theme. Beds were comfortable, place was very clean.

What a wonderful stay I had. The house is beautiful and loved the decor. The kitchen is well stocked which made cooking a breeze. Being so close to the water was amazing. Incredible views; sunrises and sunsets are fantastic. Saw dolphins and there were different finds on the beach each day. Will definitely be back!!

This home has recently been updated and is wonderful. Right on the beach with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We will return next year!
