Each year our large family spend a week at the beach at various locations. This home was one of the best todate. Beautiful beaches, plenty of beach space and super cool to simply walk to beach. Pool location is a little unusual but was a private pool.

Serenity is perhaps one of the most beautiful houses in North Topsail Island. Look one direction, you see the vast ocean, look the other and you see the Sound in all its beauty. Each day we watched the sun rise and then the sun set! The views from every room are incredible. The house was perfect for our stay with several families coming together. It was big enough that I could 'disappear' and have quiet times, but also big enough so we could all be together. The rooms are well thought out even with space heaters and fans in each room! The kitchen was well stocked with new countertop appliances. Plenty of dishes, silverware, etc. - two dishwashers - two ovens - plenty of space for lots of cooking for over 20 of us! Our daughter worked all week online and had no trouble with the internet. We enjoyed to pool, the hot tub, and the game room. The owner even provided beach towels, pool toys, and a cooler. And of course the glass elevator with the mermaid painting was SO FUN and essential for getting everything in and out and for me with my bad knees! We love the location of the house at the end of the development. Even over Memorial Day the beach was not overcrowded. Our only sad moment was when we had to drive away to go home, but the good news is we already booked the house for next year! I highly recommend Serenity as a great vacation stay for large families!

The moment we arrived we were greeted with the sound of the waves crashing on the beach, which is the number one reason we booked this beautiful home. It sits right on the ocean. We watched the sunrise right over the ocean every morning from 2nd floor deck which was right outside of our bedroom. In the evenings, we could see the sunset right behind the home over the inlet. There has been many updates completed on the home that gives it the total beachy feel. It was amazing to have coffee pods at the home so we didn't have to run out after driving all day. There were also beach toys/towels, pool toys/towels, and they even provided a cooler and beach chairs. The bedrooms are stunning, the beds were comfy, and the decor was beautiful. On the main floor on the 4th floor, we found an abundance of games to play with the family and we really appreciated that extra touch. Family game nights are our favorite nights. The kichen was fully stocked, it looked like brand new appliances, and we really loved cooking our dinners together in the large space. The bar gave all the vibes, next time we will get a keg to enjoy at the taps provided. If I could give this home more than 5 stars, we most definetly would. Just a few steps to the beach was one of the most important things to us, and this home is just that. The elveator helped my aunt get around easier with her bad knee, and I enjoyed getting my steps in by the stairs. I don't want to leave out two huge bonuses, the hot tub and the private pool! The hot tub is on the second floor, and we could listen to the waves while relaxing in the hot tub overlooking the ocean in the evenings. The private pool was huge with plenty of seating. This home is breathtaking and we can't wait to come back!!

We have stayed in a number of homes in this area. This is definitely on the top of our list. Views were amazing, down side was the trucks hauling sand in front of our house from 7:00am till way after 5. This made it impossible to walk, fish or look for shells, which are the things we like to do when we are there. This is no fault of owner or manager of home, We wish we were informed that this would be happening since we drove 16+ hours.

OMG! It's beautiful just to arrive at the house, but then going up one floor at a time and checking out all the rooms, it just kept getting better and better. The house is probably sixty feet away from the ocean, and high enough to see over the dune from the second floor to the fourth! The living room in the top floor is, I believe, bigger now than in the pix on the website, and I could never rave enough about it. Way up high, overlooking the ocean. Some described it like we were in a boat and could only see ocean. And it has a beautiful deck (as do all the floors, in the front of the building overlooking the marsh as well as the back of the house overlooking the ocean)! The living room is so spacious and inviting, all open, with kitchen, dining, and breakfast nook space all attached. It also has lots of big windows, so you get amazing panoramic views of the ocean and the marsh. The kitchen was fairly well stocked for what probably was the 23 people that the house ostensibly can sleep. (We only had 14). The bedrooms facing the ocean are all amazing, and we watched the sunrise from bed most of the days of our stay. The bedrooms facing the marsh are equally beautiful. It really should be a 5-star review on this house, but the main downside was that all of the bunkbeds were evil and desperately need mattresses instead of just the foam that was on them. They were so uncomfortable as to be unusable, but fortunately the couches are fairly comfortable. If it weren’t for that, it would be a solid 5 star review, and though I would give 4 1/2 stars, it’s not an option. Hopefully that bed situation is fixed by the next time. Other downsides: The rental agency told me when I asked before my trip that the elevator “wasn’t available,” but fortunately it was! (Being told it was unavailable was the downside. It working was awesome, since no four floor house with the kitchen on the top floor should be without an elevator!) It appeared that it only recently may have been fixed. The pool table was passable but had a weird crookedness to one bumper and only one passable cue. The ping pong table had lots of balls but the paddles, though workable, were broken and needed replaced. The downstairs play area (ping pong, pool, foosball, theatre) would have been amazing for our kids to essentially live in while the adults hung out up top, if the kids weren’t now fully grown. Every contact I had with the rental agency was positive, other than the elevator misinformation. They were quite friendly and the accents were not difficult to understand. I and all of my party very much hope to come back again next year!

Our large extended family stay at North topsail for the first time in latter February. This home was amazing. Super clean, gorgeous views, excellent working beautiful elevator. The size of the family room made it amazing for everyone being able to visit and enjoy time together. Gorgeous kitchen with two oven and large pantry.. set enjoyed the media room with ping-pong table, foosball, pool table. Great grill for cooking out loved the cul-de-sac and privacy of its location with plenty of parking. had absolutely everything we needed! Property also has another refrigerator down in the recreation room. Lots of space for everyone. Kids loved the bunk rooms. Children were fascinated by the creativity/artwork in the air elevator.! thanks for a great vacation! Serenity is better than the pictures even depict! Highly recommend❤️

Overall we had a wonderful time here. The home is very spacious, and looks exactly like the pictures. It has some typical shortcomings of a rental (e.g. old/random cookware, some janky furniture, etc) but overall is a nice place to stay.

The location is great! Easy access to the beautiful beach and a nice private pool. We had 21 family members - 11 adults and 10 teenagers. Lots of space for everyone in this house. The 7 king bedroooms are all a nice size as are the bathrooms. The 2 rooms with bunks were a little tight for our older kids but there are multiple comfortable couches. The living/dining area is very spacious with lots of places to sit for meals and the kitchen is well supplied. We had a great time at Serenity!

We loved so much about our week at Serenity. The house provided plenty of room for our large family and it had so many thoughtful amenities - even box fans and space heaters for the rooms if needed. Plenty of dishes, cooking pots, coffee makers, two dishwashers and two ovens. We had 26 to feed for most meals. We also weren’t on top of each other. There was plenty of room to spread out. The house was clean and the elevator was so wonderful. It is a work of art. We just booked our stay for next year so we could do it all over again!!

We just got back from our yearly beach vacation and this has been the best beach house we have rented! Huge living/dining floor plan. Spacious bedrooms and nice bathrooms. Nice decor and amenities including the elevator and huge bar on top floor! Pool was nice to have with little ones but it needs a little TLC. The wifi was sporadic and the tvs in the bedrooms did not work but it was great just to unplug. Would rent this house again in a heartbeat if the rates weren't so high for next year!

The location was wonderful. Right on the beach in a secluded neighborhood. The pool was very nice for the kids. The game room and theater was great to have for the evenings. It was a beautiful house! What could have made it a 5 star: the elevator was broken and walking up 4 levels to bring in all your stuff and then to take it all out was awful. And there were a couple of issues that we needed taken care of but didn’t get taken care of until our last day there.

The house for the most part was very nice inside. Large (I mean LARGE) snake that lives under the driveway had us a bit leery and cautious.

We were very impressed with the house, the elevator saved us and was used multiple times a day. All appliances worked well and the kitchen was well stocked. You don't need to bring anything but food and k cups for the kitchen. The pool was heated perfectly and hot tub was great and cleaned by a company throughout the week. Things to know: The house is about 100 yds away from public access parking and I imagine during high season this end of the beach gets very crowded, especially during high tide when there is minimal sand. If you are traveling with a baby--bring all your gear and a gate. You do not need to bring beach toys/rafts/boogie boards. You do need chairs and an umbrella/canopy etc. The black things in all of the rooms are space heaters---you will need during the off season in some of the 2nd and 3rd floor bedrooms.
