Yes it was very welcoming and ready for us when we arrived. It was everything that we expected and had a memorable time as a family. Only issue was with the elevator but the repairman showed us what to do when it quit on us. Just needs some usual maintenance upkeep.

Heron’s Hideaway is a beautiful home. Vacasa rental agency is horrible to work with. I started calling and texting to the help/repair line at 5pm and did not get a call back until 2pm the next day. Then once they did send people to fix the issues, there was ZERO follow up to see how things were going. Poor customer service. The elevator in the home is not reliable, if you have guests who HAVE to have it, this is not the home for you. Our elderly guests had to go home and missed our family vacation in fear of getting stuck in the elevator. Other than having to deal with Vacasa (or lack there of is better way of saying it), this is a wonderful home. Comfortable beds, and beautifully decorated.

The house was in a beautiful location, was very spacious & tastefully decorated. Loved that this was oceanfront & loved the ocean view. The couches, beds, and pillows were all very comfy. The elevator was nice but we did get stuck in it several times but it eventually began to work. I would have gave this house a 5 star but the thermostat was set to 70 and it was extremely hot there when we visited so I called to see if we could lower it because it was in the 80's outside so the inside was extremely hot. They had someone come and look at the thermostat and I was told it was fine & was also told that we couldn't lower it because owner has it permanently locked at 70 so there was no way we could lower it. Very disappointing! I think this should definitely be disclosed in the rental agreement because I don't think I would have rented if I would have known that. So if you do rent this house I would definitely ask if the temp will be controlled to 70 degrees. Lastly, the shower in the master bedroom on top floor facing the ocean does not have any place to put your soap, shampoo, toiletries(which is a huge inconvenience) so be prepared if you stay here that you will have to put on the shower floor. Overall, a very nice home.

7 of us stayed in this home for a long weekend. It has a beautiful view and was so comfortable for all of us. We would definitely return!

Great location, common space, and would be ideal for large groups! We enjoyed the easy beach access and the beautiful views. The kitchen is lovely. If you absolutely need an elevator for your stay - this one seems to have a history of not always operating. Check in was challenging, but we made it in with a garage code.

They provided lien's, bath room towels, dishwasher pods, washer pods, bikes, awesome beach chairs, boogie boards, and much more. You’re a ten minute walk to a lot of fun stuff. Yes it could use another bathroom on the lower floor but overall a nice place to relax.

Herons Hideaway is lovely. The views and location are fantastic. It was furnished comfortably and decorated nicely. The decks were all three a good size with really nice Polywood chairs! It was clean and they had “starter packs” of soap, paper towels, dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent. One of the things they didn’t REQUIRE, as many do, is to empty the trash, start the dishwasher, and start a load of laundry. (We did, but it was nice not to HAVE to). The beds were comfortable; the towels and sheets that were supplied were nice and clean. Overall, would recommend. We had three Octogenarians with us, so the elevator was a must.

Location was great! Only issues we had were that we didn’t get the key code before arrival, only a door code, but we were able to get it via a short telephone conversation. Description said parking for 4 cars but truthfully it’s only 3 cars, but that worked for us fine. The 6th twin bed we found under one of the king beds on the 3rd day. (That could be better described). Kitchen was well stocked, elevator was fantastic! The house was also VERY CLEAN. Having only 1 bathroom for 3 bedrooms to share on the lower level is the only reason we probably won’t return. Otherwise, we found it to be a very nice beach house.

The location and condition of this beach home were great! Eye catching decor plus comfort and space was perfect for our girls trip. It was an easy walk to restaurants and the beach was just outside the door! Beautiful views of the beach and we did see dolphins!

We had a fantastic time and fully enjoyed the house. The moment we stepped in we noticed how comfortable and clean it was. We all had great sleep. A great space. We loved having the elevator and a safe, closed garage. The beach front was a luxury. You may want to bring your own toilet paper and other paper products as well as extra hand soap. Other than that those minor items, it was just perfect.

Herons Hideaway is centrally located within a easy walk to the CB Boardwalk area and several restaurants. Direct beach access could not be easier. The layout of the house provides good space for a large group without being cramped. We would be happy to stay again.

Great location, 1 minute walk to the Veggie Wagon, 8 minutes to the boardwalk. Seems like a recent remodel, well appointed. Though bring a colander, cheese grater, and casserole dish if you’ll need them while you’re there.

Great location and close to dining. The house is beautiful and has an amazing view. The beach around the house is quiet and private. The house was perfect for two small families. It has a stocked kitchen with pots, pans and utensils, but lacked necessities like paper towels and soap in some of the bathrooms. Many beach chairs and bikes were also available for use. We would definitely stay again!

Central to the heart of Carolina beach, we had a great time on this trip. A well appointed kitchen made cooking for our large group a breeze! Owners have thoughtfully decorated and furnished this house and we wouldn’t change a a thing!!
